Grow New Hair is a product line for hair regrowth, made of all natural ingredients, including nut and seed oils and essential oils. The product line includes several different treatments: shampoo, conditioner, treatment, hot oil treatments, specific treatments for African-American hair, and even bald-spot touch up.
This brand is available other places online, but it is cheapest directly from the manufacturer’s website, Just Nutritive Skincare. If you prefer to shop on Amazon, you may also find it there.
What Is In This Stuff?
All Just Nutritive products are made with nut oils, seed oils, and essential oils. The specific ingredients in each product in the line depend on what it is.
Just Nutritive products do not contain sulfates, which are damaging to the skin and scalp and contribute to hair loss. Better yet, none of the products contain parabens, colors, or artificial fragrances.
These ingredients are often added to other shampoos and hair products for aesthetic appeal (color and surfactants), while others are added to make them more gender-specific (artificial fragrances). Others are added to preserve the products for much longer than is necessary – especially those brands that may sit on the shelves in the stores for months, or even years.
Since Just Nutritive products do not contain the above-mentioned additives, they may seem a bit different than your usual hair products. But the products are still just as effective at cleansing your scalp and maintaining hair health. Therefore, Just Nutritive products are safe for daily use.
To narrow in on a very popular product they sell, the Grow New Hair Treatment contains these listed, specific ingredients:
Pumpkin Seed Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Licorice Root Extract, Chia Seed Oil, Comfrey Extract, Jojoba Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Olive Oil, Manuka Oil, Hazelnut Oil, Avocado Oil, Nettle Extract, Burdock Extract, Arnica Extract, Saw Palmetto Extract, Horsetail Extract, Muria Puama Extract, Eleuthero Root Extract, Green Tea Extract, Grapeseed Extract, Grapeseed Oil, Essential Oils of Clary Sage, Sweet Orange, Atlas Cedarwood, Patchouli, Ylang Ylang, Peppermint, Rosemary, Coconut Oil, Gingko Biloba Extract, Panthenol Vitamin B5.
The Grow New Hair Treatment maker’s website digs into great detail on each individual product page about what makes these ingredients special, helpful, and relevant to hair loss.
This is the detailed ingredient breakdown JUST for the Just Natural Grow New Hair Treatment:
Just Natural Grow New Hair Treatment: Reviews
As with most hair regrowth products, the jury is split on how well it works.
The Good:
While researching Just Natural Grow New Hair treatment reviews, you will notice a majority of users think these products are both good and helpful for their hair loss prevention goals.
The positive reviews come from thrilled customers (both male and female) with pictures of dramatic hair growth, coming in just after a couple of weeks or a few months of using this product consistently.
Many people commented on loving the way it smells – like ylang ylang and geranium. It is a generous size bottle for the price and lasts a long time, which in hair loss treatment land is VALUABLE!
The Bad:
The negative reviews say mostly the same things. At least this reflects consistency in this product since it seems to be affecting users in similar ways. The specific negative complaints some people found are mostly these three things: scalp irritation, greasy texture, and did not help with new hair growth.
However, it is noteworthy that some of the negative reviews said that this product did improve the texture and strength of existing hair. For those looking to protect against breakage, this could be part of the solution.
Because of the wide variety of plant-based and nut and seed oils in these products, it is ENTIRELY possible that for some people with allergies or sensitivities, those allergies were triggered and may have been responsible for some of the reactions.
Particularly irritation – because that sounds exactly like an allergic reaction or irritation of the skin.
Because of this allergic reaction possibility, you should review the ingredients lists in detail and make sure nothing jumps out as a known allergen for you personally to avoid.
Who Should Use Just Nutritive Grow New Hair Faster Treatment?
Grow New Hair is a promising natural alternative to Rogaine and other products containing minoxidil as the active ingredient. Definitely read over the products ingredients list prior to checkout, to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.
Any woman experiencing hair loss, looking for a natural plant-based solution, should give this treatment a shot.
The sheer quantity of natural ingredients, nut and seed oils, and essential oils makes this an attractive option for those of us who are neither biochemists nor herbalists living in the woods, but who still want to try out the perks of that knowledge.
Hello,
thank you for sharing a very informative review about product that can help people to grow new hair faster. Obviously, a lot of people are dealing with hair loss and they are trying to find ways to regrow their hair. What I like about this product is that it is based on natural ingredients that can be very helpful.
Hi Karlo, thank you for the great feedback. I agree, the all-natural ingredients are one of the best things about this product!
Hi Penelope,
This is a great review, and I hope it helps people who have come here for help. Obviously, I’m not female, but I did experience suddenly patchy bald spots a few years back and grew quite alarmed about it. Through my research as to the cause, I came to find out that it was not uncommon for women to experience this kind of thing as well, especially around hormonal changes, childbirth, etc. I know from first-hand experience it is depressing and alarming and when you search for help, you’re in a very vulnerable state.
I wonder if part of the effectiveness of a product like this is the simple sense of hope it provides. I did try several products, mixed in with diet changes and building other good habits such as meditation and exercise and other things to reduce stress and increase good feeling. Eventually, the hair grew back and stayed. The less I focused my attention on it, the better it got. I hope something like that works for people who find their way here, and good for you for creating this site to help!
Keep up the great work!
Best wishes,
Kevin
Hi Kevin, thanks for the thoughtful comment, and for sharing your own experiences with hair loss.
I think you’re definitely onto something about the sense of hope these kinds of products provide. Losing hair is so stressful, and also a result of stress (so: negative feedback loop in action) – anything we can do to mitigate the stress is going to have a net positive effect. Feeling like we are “on the road to recovery” is basically the same thing as BEING on the road to recovery. I do think there’s a chemical reality as well, and many of the natural ingredients have been correlated with hair regrowth. This one is a good alternative for people who can’t (or don’t want to) use Rogaine.
thanks so much for the good wishes and best of luck to you, too,
Steph
I know quite a few people who would be really interested in something like this for hair regrowth – men and women.
There are a lot of ingredients in this product and what I like is they are all natural. You have certainly gone into detail.
I’m not really surprised there are mixed reviews about it, as they results for this sort of thing will really vary from person to person. I’m going to send a link to this article to some friends of mine that would be keen to try this out.
HI Darren, thanks for the feedback, and for passing the info along to people who could use it! I agree, not everything is going to work for everyone, but it always good to know what legit options exist!
I’m only 31 years old and suffering from hair loss. I usually don’t worry about it but it’s hard not too every time my wife and kids keep reminding me, oh dad you’re going bald.. I keep telling them that I know but they still feel the need to remind me regularly, lol.. I think grow new hair faster may be a suitable solution for me as it it inexpensive and I do like the fact that it contains many natural ingredients.
Hi Jonathan, thanks so much for the feedback! I’m sorry to hear that you’re going through this, it’s never fun, especially when so young! I’d say give it a shot; since it’s all natural, it’s definitely not going to make anything worse. best of luck!
Penelope, very interesting and well written review. I noticed this product has a lot of natural ingredients, such as peppermint and coconut, iron, copper, Vitamin K. These ingredients are good for general health as well. I heard that many times when general health is helped it also helps problems such as hair. So most likely you are helping more than the hair. I noticed that you mentioned Burdock Root Extract for circulation. If this helps your hair, which it most likely does for most people, it going to help circulation problems as well, such as blood pressure. Besides having hair problems I also have back problems and itching. Looks like the Chia Seed Oil will help this as well, since it is good for soothing inflammation and itching. Looks like these product will help the hair along with other problems as well. Best of luck helping others.
Hi Doug, thanks so much for the great comment, and filling us in on the other good things we can expect from the natural ingredients in Grow New Hair Treatment. really appreciate it, and best wishes to you too!
If I was having a hair loss problem, this would definitely be my first choice in treatment, as opposed to Rogaine. I like the idea of using natural products all the way. The listed ingredients for this product are really fantastic.
As with everything it might not work the same way for everyone and that’s understandable. But the folly would be in not trying it. For some people hair loss could be an internal matter as well, not just external. So at times it might just be a matter of trial and error to find what really works.
Thank you for the feedback about my article onGrow New Hair Faster – I agree, it’s definitely a good place to start in recovering from hair loss, especially for anyone nervous about more chemical solutions!
Hey Penelope,
I think this relates to me well, I’m beginning to have a bald patch on my head, very much like my dad but I’m still young to be losing that much hair!
Grow New Hair Treatment sounds like a bargain but just out of curiosity, are there any side effects for people with sensitive skin? I need to be applying it on my scalp though
Thanks for the great question, Riaz – the issue of side effects varies a lot from person to person. In the case of this product, because its ingredients are all natural, I would advise you to review the bald spot treatment ingredient list, and make sure you have no allergies to any of those plants, nuts, or seeds. If not, then you should be good to go -let us know how it works for you!
Hi,
I read on your site, which is a resource for my wife because my wife’s hair to fall over the past 1 year is going to be light. Today I know about your grow new hair treatment I also first learned about it. Much obliged to you for sharing an exceptionally instructive audit about item that can help individuals to develop new hair quicker. Clearly, many people are managing balding and they are attempting to discover approaches to regrow their hair. What I like about this item is it depends on common fixings that can be extremely useful.
Thank you so much for the kind comment, and I’m glad that this information may be of some help to your wife – it’s worth a shot!
Hair loss is such a common topic and problem for so many people, and I know a few that would really benefit from this product… as well as the knowledge you shared in this article (which I will be sharing with them). In my book, natural is always the way to go! So many harsh chemicals in the other stuff.. natural, you know what you’re getting. Thanks for a great review.
Hi Jen, thanks for the great feedback, and for sharing this info with women who may need it! I’m with you 100% on preferring the natural stuff. Take care, -Penelope
Cannot wait to see your progress. This seems really good to me based on your review. I recently had a big chop and though my curls look healthier than ever I want my length to come back as fast as possible and my partner wants some of his hairline to fill in as well. Is it best to buy it straight from the link that is the cheapest? Thanks
I’m wondering how your experience went with the Grow New Hair treatment?
My fiance has a receding hair line and he also has a dandruff problem (a genetic problem) so the only shampoo he uses is Nizoral. I’m wondering if he tries this product would it perhaps aggravate his dandruff problem?
With all the nuts and seeds in this product I’m surprised it smells like gardenia (which I love) and ylang-ylang.
I really like the way it smells, but unfortunately I’ve taken a hiatus from this and other products due to my breakouts. Sadly, I don’t think my skin issues are gonna resolve until I get into a new climate. Where I am now (the Willamette Valley) is basically ground zero for allergies. Oh, the price we pay for good wine and gorgeous nature!
Thank you for sharing us with such an amazing product. Most us us experience hairfall at some point and the products you share in your articles are amazing.
Glad you’re enjoying the blog, thanks for reading!
At first, when I read the healthy, natural ingredients, pumpkin seed oil, flax seed oil, etc., I was full of hope. But when I read the negative reviews and experiences of some who had tried the product like, scalp irritation, greasy texture, and didn’t help with new hair growth (mainly scalp irritation) I decided not to try the product. My scalp is already irritated, especially around the bald spot.
I heard that menthol is soothing for the scalp. Do you have any hair products whose main ingredient is menthol?
I think with any hair product there is a chance of scalp irritation or allergic reaction. Most of us have not had allergy screenings done by our doctors to know what we are allergic to so that is why as a precaution when trying products which go on your scalp they tell you to test a little bit on your arm. Thank you for your detailed review, it is because of reviews like this that it is much easier to make informed purchases.
Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts! I agree, allergies are a common issue and unfortunately we don’t always know the extent of our own until it’s too late! at least with this one, there are no sulfates or parabens or other bad nasty chemicals 🙂
Penelope , did the Grow New Hair Treatment by Just Nutritive help you ? Did it make a difference? Thanks!
Yes – I still use it! Thanks for checking in. I love this stuff.
I love that this product has so many natural oils in it! Understandably I can see how it would make your hair a little greasy. That doesn’t concern me, however, because I’ve been slowly trying to wash my hair less and using more dry shampoo in order to allow more of the natural oils to nourish my scalp and hair. It’s been a little oily sometimes, however I always braid or scrunch my hair to mask it lol. Thanks for such a thorough review! Sounds like a great product! I’ll keep tabs on this one..
I have never been convinced about any product that claims to help grow your own hair back that uses before and after pics because of how technology is today so I just assume that the image has been photoshopped, I know that may sound a bit strange as the only way someone would buy a product like that is if they could see results but I would rather see physical proof rather than just an image. Your post, however, has slightly changed my mind about it as you sound more genuine than these companies that claim you will get a full head of hair after just one bottle when all they are selling you is a bottle of horse piss or something like that. I might give this Just Nutritive a try myself as you cant go wrong with natural ingredients can you, Thank you 🙂
Thanks for reading and leaving your comments! I agree, washing less can be kinda annoying because of the grease factor but it’s SO much better for our hair overall. 🙂
I like to know if you have to wash your hair every day you use this product.im a African American woman and we do not wash my hair every day
So did you switch products or what because you said it may have aggravated your allergies
I’m considering trying this.
I just cut off all my chemically treated hair & I want to start fresh.
(& find one brand of product to use on my hair) I don’t have alopecia but bald or thin “temples” “edges” which are genetic so im really not expecting any product to help with that! (If it does great)I’m thinking I’m going to try this though & hopefully I can find my way back to give a completely honest review. (I may even document my progress if any)
hi,
i’m very confused;
my dermertologist told me not to spend big money on products as nothing will help.
He was very negative and offered no help at all except for a product called Regain, WHICH MY RESEARCH showed that it was dangerous on patients over 65 yo and also for anyone with possible heart problem.
Please i would like to try anything with a proven tack record of success.
Thanks
Hey penelope…. I just started using this product i was wondering if yoy could answer how frequently should i use it and for how long…
Hi Penelope.
Did this product work for you? At the end of the top post, you’d said you would report back after giving it a try. What’s the verdict?
Have you heard of Hair Vitality Complex? It is available in the Truth In Aging site. They also recommend Emu Oil. Wondering if you have any feedback on those. Thank you for your informative review!
Hi Manika! Yeah, you both should definitely try this shampoo, I wish I would have found it earlier. Unfortunately it’s not available for cheaper anywhere else online, priced consistently at $49.95, although Amazon does have a 5% or 15% discount built-in for subscribe-and-save program. That link, or the link at the top of the page, will take you there.
Thanks for the candid comment and question. And the answer is: YES! There are products that are menthol-based for hair loss. Check out the Hair Follicle Stimulator by Therapy-G.
Horse piss, hahaha. Yeah, that definitely sounds like an old timey “medical miracle” swindle. This product is actually really lovely, I’ve been using it for about a year and I’ve had some great results with it in combination with my other treatments nutrafol, low level laser therapy, rosemary oil. thanks for reading!
Hi Susan! You do not need to wash daily using this product. I also don’t wash daily, usually every other day and I have switched to a more natural and less harsh DHT blocking shampoo & conditioner that I can afford. But topical treatments and serums like this are good for helping our hair recharge and get the nourishment it needs!
Are comments still open on this subject? Hopefully you guys can post updates over a year later and let us know how this product is doing for you. I would like to give it a try but don’t want to pay the price tag if it isn’t working for most. Thanks.
